Free Nature Tourism Webinar from Texas Nature Tourism Council

TTIA's Texas Nature Tourism Council invites you to participate in the first in a series of free webinars on nature tourism topics. This free educational opportunity is presented in partnership with the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Nature Tourism Program.

Ecotourism: The Big Picture - Trends and Examples from Around the World

Join us for this opportunity to learn from world-renowned nature tourism expert, Carol Patterson. She is the author of multiple books on ecotourism and travel, and is owner of Kalahari Management, an international ecotourism consulting firm.

After a 30-minute presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions to Ms. Patterson for an open Q&A session.

This session will also be recorded to prepare a podcast for future viewing, but be sure to participate live for your chance to ask questions!

San Antonio Chapter Meeting

At 7PM on January 14, 2010 the San Antonio Chapter of El Camino Real de los Tejas will meet.  The meeting will be at the San Antonio River Authority, 100 E. Guenther Street San Antonio, Texas.   Bracken Village will be the topic.  Come out and join us if you can.

San Antonio Chapter Meeting - Nov. 5th

October 26, 2009
Mitchell Lake Wildlife Refuge will be our next topic on Thursday, November 5th, at the San Antonio River Authority, 100 E. Guenther in the King William District at 7PM.
 
We hope you will attend to learn about this wonderful refuge and nature area here in San Antonio.  A wonderful place to visit with your children and grandchildren.
 
The attached book is available at the Mitchell Lake Audubon Center's Nature Store, 10750 Pleasanton Rd. for $6.00 (including tax) or you can purchase a copy on November 5th.
 
As you may not now, the refuge is located on the El Camino Real de los Tejas and a DAR marker is located just west of the lake on Pleasanton Road.
