Brown Bag Lecture - Dr. Ruben Mendoza

October 05, 2009

Greetings all!

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to hear Dr. Ruben Mendoza of California State University - Monterey speak on his recent discoveries of solar-equinox and feast day illuminations at Spanish Colonial Mission Churhes in the American Southwest and California.

He is only in town for a few days and was gracious enough to agree at the last minute to provide our community with a brief talk and powerpoint presentation or his current research.

The lecture will be held at the Harris Discovery Center, Mission San José on Wednesday, October 7 from 11:30am-12:30pm.  Please feel free to bring your lunch while you listen to Dr. Mendoza's informative talk.

The Harris Discovery Center, Mission San José is located at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and San José Drive.  There is limited parking in the back, you may also park in our visitor center parking lot on New Napier Avenue and walk through the compound to the Harris Discovery
Center.

Please pass this e-mail on to others who may be interested.  If you have any questions, please contact me 210-534-8875 x243.
